Drbblz & Ekim originally met at an illegal warehouse party in South Florida in 2011. After realizing they shared the same musical visions, they joined forces and quickly began collaborating in the studio. Their unique and aggressive basslines coupled with grinding synths and punchy drums landed them a #13 spot on the Beatport Dubstep Top 100 charts with their debut release on Funky Element Records. Drbblz & Ekim also have another project D.E.T. which is joined with San Diego based Thorn on A Rose. Together, D.E.T. offers aggressive and fresh Drumstep, Dubstep, Drum & Bass, and Moombahton that never disappoints.
There hasn’t been much that veteran D.J.’s Drbblz & Ekim haven’t accomplished in their careers.
Drbblz (formerly D.J. Orion) was a 14 year resident for the legendary NYC production company Stuck On Earth, and a staple in the North East rave scene for over a decade. Having worked at the infamous record distributor Nemesis, was former owner of Reptile Recordings, and also having multiple breakbeat releases on various record labels, Drbblz has also performed with some of the biggest talent in the world, and history of HipHop and EDM.
Dj Ekim has been smashing beats in the industry for over 12 years. Ekim is the owner of Token Bass Recordings, as well as DrumstepForum.com. Ekim has hosted at major events such as Ultra music festival in Miami, and performedat the beloved I Love L.A. 420. Ekim is also a blogger for Knowledge magazine U.K., and runs the largest electro house group in the world on soundcloud.com.
